The "OLIVE ZINC PASSIVATION" kit is used for the passivation of galvanized zinc surfaces, allowing the achievement of a surface with a beautiful dark olive color (khaki), and with better corrosion resistance than after rainbow passivation.
After the preparation and cleaning of the surface, and for the application of the coating, the item is dipped in the "OLIVE ZINC PASSIVATION" solution for a few minutes. Zinc and chrome salt react with the zinc surface, forming new colors, whose saturation depends on the duration of the process. When processing lead-zinc alloys, the item should ideally be zinc plated in advance.
Usage
It is used for painting zinc surfaces, giving them a dark olive color and making them more corrosion resistant.

Each kit includes a detailed User Manual with a step-by-step description of the preparation and execution processes of metallization. All the chemicals included in the kits are preliminarily weighed and packed in the required proportions, so all that is needed in order to get the working electrolyte solution is to dissolve those packets in distilled water, in the prescribed sequence.
GENERAL DATA. Working temperature of the passivation solution is 18-25°C.Duration for which the item should be immersed in the rainbow solution: 25-60 seconds. Using a 5 liter kit, you can apply coat a total area of 12-13m2. After coating an area of 7-8m2, the solution must be replenished by adding 240-250g of "REACTIVE-OP". Simultaneously, adding in the solution of the replenishing chemicals (included in the kit), brings the pH levels up to 1.5-2.0. To control the pH level of the solution, use the pH-meter or an indicator strip (included in the kit). To enhance the pH of the solution, this should be added with acid chemicals. To lower the pH of the solution, this should be added with alkaline chemicals.
