"CATAPHORETIC LACQUER" kit is comprised of a colloid solution of acryl-urethane copolymers in a solvent based solution, and is used for applying transparent, colorless or colored lacquer coatings to various metals and alloys, using the method of cathode electroplating (cataphoresis), to give the surface a beautiful appearance, and to increase its protective properties.
A hard, durable polymer coating, with a beautiful appearance, is formed after the deposition and hardening of the cataphoretic lacquer, which is used as a protective coating on various pieces of jewellery, interior fittings, furniture fittings, interior decorations, automobile linings, add-ons etc.
The solution used for cataphoretic coating has high dispersive properties, allowing the application of lacquer coating on any complex shaped surface, including deep recesses, holes, cavities. It may also be used on any protruding, sharp, needle-like parts, etc.
To achieve an ultra-decorative look, it is recommended that the processed item is initially well polished, or its surface coated with glossy copper, nickel or another metallic plating. Before the application of the cataphoretic lacquer, it is necessary to treat the item with the "universal cleaner" chemical agent.

Each kit includes a detailed User Manual with a step-by-step description of the preparation and execution processes of metallization. All the chemicals included in the kits are preliminarily weighed and packed in the required proportions, so all that is needed in order to get the working electrolyte solution is to dissolve those packets in distilled water, in the prescribed sequence.
GENERAL DATA. With 5 liters of cataphoretic lacquer you can apply a 5 micron thick polymer lacquer coating to an area of 70 – 75 m2. Working temperature of the solution 25 - 30°C. Cathode current density 0.1 – 0.4 A/dm2. Conductivity of the working solution is no more than 800 micro Siemens/cm2. Voltage of the tub, while applying cataphoretic lacquer coating, is 30-40V. The thickness of the coating depends on the duration of the process and the applied voltage.

After the deposition of the cataphoretic lacquer coating the item must be washed with de-mineralized or distilled water and then be dried at a temperature of 160°C for 20 minutes or at a temperature of 120°C for 40 minutes. The maximum temperature at which these processed items can be used should not be higher than 240°C. Pigmented coloring toner is added to the cataphoretic lacquer solution to color the coating.
