NEW! "COPY-CHROME" kit is used for applying bright, low-porous coatings with highly reflective qualities and a hardness that is higher than nickel. Coatings can be plated on different metals and alloys including steel, bronze, copper, "primary copper" coating, "bright copper" coating, nickel, "bright nickel" coating, "electrolysis nickel" coating, "primary nickel" coating, aluminium (after zincate activation), lead, lead-copper alloys (after "primary copper" coating).
"COPY-CHROME" coating is an ideal example of a bright, durable coating for small metal items like door handles, hinges, bolts, brackets, nuts, etc. After applying "COPY-CHROME" coating, there is no yellowish shade as with nickel, and after a quick polish it shines like chrome. The process takes the same time as normal nickel plating: 15-20 minutes for a decorative coating and 30-40 minutes for a protective coating (for example, if coating a working tool).

"COPY-CHROME" kit is used for applying bright and plastic coatings to different metal objects. It is an exceptional alternative to decorative chrome coatings when plating objects such as automobiles and motorcycle parts.

Each kit includes a detailed User Manual with a step-by-step description of the preparation and execution processes of metallization. All the chemicals included in the kits are preliminarily weighed and packed in the required proportions, so all that is needed in order to get the working electrolyte solution is to dissolve those packets in distilled water, in the prescribed sequence.
GENERAL DATA. Working temperature of the solution is 40-50°C. Rate of cathode current density is 0.8-1.7 A/dm2. Deposition rate of nickel-cobalt coating at a cathode current density of 1.2 A/dm2 is 17-18 microns per hour. During the process of "COPY-CHROME" plating, the electrolyte doesn’t deplete and the metal compensates for the anode. During the process, the electrode must be placed in the chemical resistant polypropylene fabric cover. One anode (155 mm х 220 mm) is enough to plate a 3.5m2 surface area with a 5 micron thickness. During use of the electrolyte, and after coating a surface area of 5-6m2 (or after 1000 Amp/hour of electricity), you should correct the electrolyte. Add 460-470g of chemical reagent "crystal copy-chrome salt" and 28-30 ml chemical reagent "brightener addictive". It is recommended that the "universal cleaner" and "chemical activator" are used to prepare the surface before coating.
