The "COPY-CHROME" kit is used for the application of a glossy hard nickel-cobalt coating on automobile discs. The coating can be applied to copper, "primary copper" coating, "bright red copper", nickel, "brilliant nickel" coating, "chemical nickel", and "primary nickel".

This kit contains everything necessary for the application of a glossy metallic coating on aluminium automobile discs.

The "COPY-CHROME" kit for chrome-plating discs provides the same advantages as the application of a decorative chrome-plating: gloss, durability, corrosion resistance, but at the same time does not require large investment in production facilities, does not produce harmful emissions, and there is no problem with waste utilization.

To chrome-plate automobile discs, it is necessary to initially treat the surface with zincate treatment, then apply the "primary copper" coating. Due to the high levels of dissipative properties of the electrolytes in question, it is possible to chrome-plate discs with any type of complex surface shapes.

Using this kit, you can coat an area of 55-60 m2. Once you have set up your facility and started chrome-plating discs, you will only need to purchase the necessary chemicals.

Stages of the process in chrome-plating aluminium surfaces:

Each kit includes a detailed User Manual with a step-by-step description of the preparation and execution processes of metallization. All the chemicals included in the kits are preliminarily weighed and packed in the required proportions, so all that is needed in order to get the working electrolyte solution is to dissolve those packets in distilled water, in the prescribed sequence.

GENERAL DATA. Working temperature of the electrolyte: 50-60°C. Density of cathode current: 1-2.5 A/dm2. Deposition rate of nickel-cobalt coating at a cathode current density of 1.5-1.8 A/dm2: 16-18 microns per hour. During the process of "copy-chrome" coating, the electrolyte is partially consumed, and the electrode dissolves. One electrode (450mm x 520mm) is sufficient for a surface area of 45 m2 with a thickness of 5 microns. While implementing the process, the electrode must be placed inside the polypropylene fabric electrode cover. During the use of the electrolyte, after the application of nickel coating on an area of 9-10 m2 (or after 1000 ampere/hours of conducted electricity), the electrolyte must be replenished, by adding 320-360 ml of "brilliance additive" along with 360-400 ml of "levelling additive".
